Karl Maret, M.D., M.Eng. serves as president of the Alliance and was instrumental in its inception. His broad training as an electrical engineer, biomedical engineer and medical doctor has given him a solid background in Energy Medicine. He has carried out physiological research at the highest places on earth, including near the summit of Mt. Everest, as well as building specialty instrumentation for physiological measurements under the Antarctic ice. He has served as a military officer with distinction and run his own consulting business for many years. Prior to serving the Dove Health Alliance he was president of another nonprofit educational foundation in California. He is the medical director of the Dove Center for Integral Medicine offering clients energy medicine and functional medicine approaches within the field of integrative medicine.

Marlo Bendau Rees is an award-winning filmmaker with 30 years’ experience in the film and television industry. Ms. Rees has produced and directed many films for PBS including “Rising: The Art of John Waddell,” the Science series “Intimate Strangers: Unseen Life on Earth” about microbial life, the 10-part series “A World of Art: Works in Progress,” and “Gangs: Dreams Under Fire,” which won first place at the Chicago International Film Festival. With Henry Winkler Productions, she executive produced a series about firefighters, “First Response” which aired on USA Network. She wrote and directed “Welcome to the Getty for The Getty Museum in Los Angeles. Ms. Rees directed three of the docu-poetry series “American Chronicles,” produced by David Lynch/Mark Frost Productions for the Fox Television Network. She created, Executive Produced and Co-Hosted the series “Earthbeat” for TBS in Atlanta. Prior, Ms. Rees was a reporter for CBS Network News, NBC’s “Today Show”, an anchor for KCET-TV (PBS Los Angeles) and a Co-Host for “PM Magazine” in Minneapolis, MN.
